LABORATORY
SERVICES
Arrangements are made with an off campus laboratory to provide laboratory service at special student rates. The laboratory that holds our 2006-07 contract is United Health Services. This is the only laboratory that we use. You may wish to check with your personal health insurance to assure that this laboratory is covered in your benefits. If a student is not covered by his/her insurance, student rates are available.Note: the student insurance plan offered by the university does cover this laboratory, as does the NYSHIP plan for state funded graduate students and the International Student Insurance plan.
Lab results may be obtained by calling Health Services on the appropriate day after 2 pm.
Charges for laboratory work are payable directly to the laboratory, not
to the University Health Service. Frequently these charges are reimbursable
by or directly billed to the student's health insurance plan. (Please see
first paragraph above.)
