Cold Center
WHERE?
At the main reception desk at the Health Service.
WHEN?
The service is available 8 am. - 4:45 pm., Monday through Friday during
the academic year. Health Service hours during holiday, summer or vacation
periods are 8 am.-3:45 pm., Monday through Friday.
HOW?
Students simply come to the reception desk at any time during service
hours.
A short questionnaire must be completed that is designed to screen for
more serious illness, in which case the student will be referred to the
medical clinic for evaluation. The questionnaire also is structured in
such a way as to guide students to the cough and cold products most appropriate
to their symptoms.
The questionnaire
becomes part of the legal medical record and therefore it is important
that the information provided by the student be accurate and truthful.
HOW MUCH?
This service is covered under the student health fee - there is no additional
charge at the time of service.
